Sacramento Chiropractor Recognized with Certification Credentials in Whiplash Injury Treatment

Sacramento, CA, June 1, 2007 - Dr. Jeri Anderson of Capitol Chiropractic, Sacramento, California has recently been recognized for the successful completion of a sequence of requirements for credentialing with the Chiropractic Certification in Spinal Trauma (C.C.S.T.) through the International Chiropractors Association Council on Applied Chiropractic Sciences. This highly commended program, featuring internationally recognized chiropractic spinal trauma expert Dr. Dan Murphy, is presented by the ICA Council on Applied Chiropractic Sciences in a series of consecutive seminar modules. The comprehensive post-graduate curriculum presents chiropractic applications of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and clinical case management for trauma cases, including the mechanisms of automobile accident injury and effective documentation of clinical findings and care.

The detailed, 120-hour C.C.S.T. program instructs doctors in a combination of advanced clinical management of patients and practical aspects of examinations, assessment, record keeping and testimony. Featured presentations include pertinent studies highlighting new understanding of the mechanics of injury and mechanisms of healing from a neurological basis in relation to the components of the chiropractic approach to management of whiplash and spinal trauma. Modules by featured expert guest presenters in specific fields highlight protocols relating to documentation, report writing, judicial procedures and legal aspects of spinal trauma cases, and diagnostic imaging details for documentation and description of the need for and provision of care.
